Values Determination Process

Discover what's actually
driving your decisions.

Every action you take is driven by what you value most highly - whether you've consciously named it or not.

This guided process surfaces your true hierarchy of values - not what you think it should be or what you wish it was, but what is actually most valuable to you, what your actions are demonstrating is important.

Knowing your true values means you can stop fighting your own nature and start building a life and business around what genuinely moves you.

Based on the Demartini Method, developed by Dr John Demartini.

Halfway point

You've done the quick 6.

You can see your early results now, or keep going for the full 13-question process. More questions means more answers to draw on, which makes the pattern in your values much clearer and more accurate.

Step 2 of 4

Group your answers together.

Read back over what you wrote. We've already grouped together answers that share an obvious word - look for the โœจ Suggested tag and double check those are right. Drag answers that feel similar into the same group - even if the wording is different, group them if they point at the same underlying thing. Create as many groups as you need. Every answer needs to be assigned to a group - we work with the data that comes up, not just the answers you'd prefer to count.

๐Ÿ”
For your Space, Money and Phone answers especially - the item itself usually isn't the value, it's just evidence of one. A phone isn't a value, but what you mainly use it for might point to one. "Rent" isn't a value either - for one person it points to security, for another it's family, for another it's status.

Before grouping these, ask: why is this meaningful to me, or what's the dominant use of it? Group on that underlying reason, not the literal word.

Step 3 of 4

Name each value.

For each group, name the underlying value in one or two words - the thing your answers are really pointing at eg. Family, Personal Development, Socialising, Saving & Investing Money, Connection, Lifestyle, Security - whatever fits.
